Four members of the Pack, Harry Wheeler, Richard Hurst, Gugan Chana & Kieran Patel, plus a dad, Keith wheeler took part in the District Incident Hike, which was held in the Cookham / Cookham Dean area.
The event was part of the International JOTT (Jamboree On The Trail) event - jamboree On The Trail is an annual day for the World Scout Movement to hike together. The object was for the Cubs to walk around a circular course, stopping at eight bases which were run by the Scouts. At each base the cubs had to complete a challenge. Sixteen teams took part from Cub Packs in Maidenhead.
The Cubs walked around a circle course, approx 5 miles and had to complete activities at eight bases on the way round, which were run by different Scouts from different Troops from all over Maidenhead. The activities they had to complete included passing a message from cub to cub around a course - message was to do with flags and saints; working out objects in box by feeling, plus guessing what object were by smell; Minefield; Backwoods cooking - twist; Five legged knotting puzzle; blind fold soap box cars; blind rope trail; apple bobbing puzzle.
