PG Scouts have got five Scouts who have been selected to represent PG and Maidenhead as part of the Berkshire Unit for the World Jamboree to Thailand Five PG Scouts who are representing PG at the World Jamboree in Thailand in their Jamboree Uniform Hisory of PGs two year project We gained an extra place on 3/6/01
This is a unique opportunity for young people from all around the world to take part in this global event. Developing a Scouting spirit of sharing, living and learning about our cultural diversity. Those young people, who have been chosen to represent Berkshire, will join around 30,000 other Scouts from across the world on this amazing International experience. This amazing experience will also include some home hospitality in the Philippines. They will be away for Christmas As at 13/12/2002 - Due to the political and security situation in South East Asia the Scouts will not be going to the Philippines. Click Here for more details As at 24/12/2002 - They will be going to Singapore and staying in a Hotel The 20th World Scout Jamboree will be held in Sattahip, Chanburi province, about 180 kms east of Bangkok. The campsite is located on a beautiful beach on the gulf of Thailand. Berkshire is sending 36 Scouts, which includes 15 Scouts from Maidenhead, which includes PG's FIVE. We hope to be able to keep you update with how they are getting on at the Jamboree with update details on THIS web site and our special webs site www.4gotothailand.co.uk, plus an update in January's PG Tips.
